I am currently unemployed, and I have been searching for work since November 2009. I was receiving unemployment benefits, but at the end of May 2010 my benefits ended. In order for me to receive an extension of benefits from unemployment I had to file an appeal, and wait to be scheduled for a hearing, which normally takes 8-10 weeks. During this waiting period I have not received any funding at all. While I have been waiting for a hearing date I have now fell into financial hardships of the worst kind. I have tried to apply for government aid, but to no avail. I am behind on all of my bills by 2 months! I soon may become homeless due to the situation that I have described above. If there is any help that you, or anyone else that you may know, can provide regarding any openings for a 1 bedroom with a low income based housing within the east bay, or any openings for jobs please feel free to contact me.
